We are inviting story submissions from women and men who met and formed relationships with their significant other after they turned 40. Midlife is both rewarding and challenging and what you found attractive in a partner in your 20s, along with the qualities you once thought important in a relationship, has, in all likelihood, changed. We are looking for authentic and original stories that are previously unpublished. We welcome honesty, vulnerability, humour and inspiration . The "I married the con-man, serial-killer next door" type of story is not what we're after. Be campy if you wish and inventive with style, but please be real. Stories selected for publication will be compiled into an anthology for presentation to publishers.

While being married or living together is not a requirement of eligibility, at the time of submission your relationship will have been ongoing for a minimum of two years.

Your submission should be written as a first-person narrative with a minimum word count of 900 words and a maximum of 3,000 words. Please double space your contribution for readability and email a WORD attachment to love@secondwindstories.com. Please make sure to include your full name, address and phone number on each page. Only those individuals whose submissions have been selected for publication will be notified. Please make a copy of your original as submissions will not be returned.
